Therapy
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and PhD candidate in Depth Psychology, specializing in Community, Liberation, Indigenous, and Eco-psychology.
I provide trauma centered therapy for adults, emerging adults, middle schoolers, and high schoolers navigating the challenges of anxiety, depression, and trauma (complex trauma, vicarious trauma, collective trauma, and intergenerational trauma).
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I combine EMDR with internal family systems (IFS) and inner parts work to process trauma held in the body, shift negative core beliefs, and support the unburdening of wounded parts for deeper integration and healing. My approach prioritizes building inner resources and cultivating a sense of internal capacity and safety through techniques such as breathwork, tapping, guided visualization, mindfulness meditation, and energy work.
I also assist individuals in navigating relational conflict by exploring their own reactivities, building self-awareness, and strengthening communication skills. Using Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and dialogical techniques, I help clients transform conflict into an opportunity for growth, understanding, and deepening connection within relationships.
I also incorporate creative and nature-based practices, including expressive arts therapy and forest bathing at my Dodgeville location, creating a space where healing is grounded in the connection between self, others, and the natural world. Drawing on depth psychology and archetypal astrology, I honor the connection between individual experiences and broader collective dynamics, working to transform suffering into a pathway toward interdependence, purpose, and meaning.
Therapy is not about adjusting to the status quo but about helping you feel more connected to yourself, others, and the world around you as you move toward your goals. Together, we can create a space of healing, exploration, and growth.
My strengths as a therapist lie in my capacity for deep listening, compassion, and seeing the best in people. All of you is welcome in the therapeutic relationship and all of you is worthy of compassion.
I offer group therapy, workshops, and classes to support healing in a community setting. Check out my groups here: https://www.medicinefortheheart.com/groups
Through self-awareness we have the opportunity to bring all aspects of ourselves- the beautiful and the ugly- to light and to understand, accept and integrate them so that we feel whole. When we embrace the fullness of who we are, we create alignment with our highest potential. We can then operate out of a place of inner peace and integration, rather than inner war and dissociation.
